    • Hamvention is a gathering of Ham Radio Amateurs. It's sponsored by the Dayton Amateur Radio Association (otherwise known as DARA), and is a large convention that is known all over the world, and has been around for over 50 years.   • How many conventioneers are expected to attend Hamvention?
    • It is estimated some 25,000 people are expected to attend the Hamvention from all over the world. 
  • What is the main impact of Hamvention on the City of Xenia residents?
    • The main impact from the Hamvention on Xenia will be temporary traffic congestion and possibly heavier restaurant patronage.
  • What area and streets will be most affected by Hamvention traffic?
  • The most congested streets in Xenia during Hamvention will be: Detroit St., Purcell Ave., Northwest St., Galloway St., King St., and Hollywood Ave. 
  • What are the busiest times of traffic to and from Hamvention?
    • N. Detroit Street and S. Detroit Street
      • Friday: 7-10 am & 3-7 pm
      • Saturday: 2-6 pm

    • Yes, Hamvention parking will be offered at the Xenia Towne Square parking lot and also at Xenia High School.
    • Shuttle service will also be available to conventioneers to and from those locations.
