    Sergeant Scott A. Beegle began his career in law enforcement with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office in November 1997, he then moved to the Xenia Police Division in January 1999 where he served 12 years as a patrol officer. As a patrol officer, he performed specialized assignments such as Field Training Officer, Bike Patrol, Evidence Technician, Crisis Negotiations Team member, Training Committee member, Division Armorer and BAC Operator. Scott has received the Leadership Award, 4 Meritorious Service Awards, the Distinguished Service Award, Two Life Saving Awards, FPOA Officer of the Year Award, and the MADD Award. Scott was assigned to Criminal Investigations Unit as a detective in July of 2012, where he handled general felony level cases. During this time he was also assigned to the FBI for The Miami Valley Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force. Scott received the Child Advocate of the Year Award in 2014, from the Greene County Children’s Services. Scott was promoted to patrol sergeant in March 2014, he oversees the division armory, coordinates all special events in the city, and is the Crisis Negotiations Commander, along with the day to day street operations of the city.

    He was born and raised here in Xenia graduating from Xenia High School in 1990. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1991 as a Combat Engineer. During his time in the military he deployed to Somalia in 1993 during Operation Restore Hope. Scott attended The Public Safety Leadership Academy at The Ohio State University in 2018. He is currently a sitting board member of the Greene County Agricultural Society (fair board) for over 12 years. Scott has 2 children Brett and Audrie.





  2. Cvitkovich, Matt  (2)

    Sgt. Cvitkovich began his career with the Xenia Police Division in 2003 where he served as a patrol officer for 13 years. As a patrol officer, he served as a field training officer, evidence technician, bike patrol officer and BAC operator. Sgt. Cvitkovich was assigned to the criminal investigation section in 2016, before being promoted to a Patrol Sergeant in 2017. As a Patrol Sergeant, he earned an FAA certification to be a drone pilot for the Division’s Special Technology Unit. He currently supervises one of the night shift platoons. He also oversees the bike patrol unit and manages the mobile data computers for the division’s police cruisers.

    Sgt. Cvitkovich is a lifelong resident of the Dayton area and graduated from Dayton Christian High School in 2000. 



  3. Etchison, Lon  (2)

    Sgt. Lon Etchison began his law enforcement career in 1995 as a Deputy Sheriff with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.  Lon was hired by the Xenia Police Division in 1999.  Lon was a Patrol Officer for 8 years and performed specialized assignments as an evidence technician, field training officer, firearms instructor and as a member of the Greene County SWAT Team.  In 2007 Lon was assigned to the Greene County ACE Task Force as a Detective.  Lon also served as a Detective in the Xenia Police Division Criminal Investigations Section before being promoted to Patrol Sergeant in 2016.  In addition to his duties as a Patrol Sergeant, Lon is the Community Policing Sergeant and commands the Greene County Regional SWAT Team.

    Throughout his career Lon has received several awards and commendations including the Casey Elliott "City's Finest" Award, a Leadership Award and two Meritorious Service Awards.

    Lon graduated from Cedarville University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.  Lon also teaches at the Greene County Career Center’s Criminal Justice Academy.



  4. Foubert, Matt  (2)

    Sergeant Matt Foubert began his career in law enforcement with the Xenia Police Division in February 1996 where he served 23 years as a patrol officer. As a patrol officer, he performed specialized assignments such as Field Training Officer, Bike Patrol, Evidence Technician, SWAT Team member, Training Committee member and BAC Operator. Matt has received the Community Policing Award, the Leadership Award, A Meritorious Service Award, Three Distinguished Service Awards, Three Silver Shield Awards and Four MADD Awards. Matt was promoted to Sergeant in March of 2019.

    He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. He is currently the assistant offensive line coach for the Xenia High School varsity football team and competes as a powerlifter with a highlight of winning the overall at the 2011 Ohio Police and Fire Games 220 lbs and over. He is married to his wife Lynn since 2001 and they have 3 children Marissa, Ryon and Kara.



  5. Osburn, Jeff (2)

    Sergeant Jeff Osburn was employed by the City of Xenia as a patrol officer in June 1997. Jeff was assigned to the Greene County A.C.E. Task Force from April 2002 to January 2006. From there, he was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Section until being promoted to the rank of Sergeant in August 2014. Currently, Jeff works days and supervises a platoon of officers in the patrol division.  Jeff also oversees all maintenance on Police Division vehicles and is the Training Sergeant.  As Training Sergeant he supervises all of the Division Field Training Officers and the Training Staff.

    Throughout Jeff’s career, he has been awarded numerous awards and accommodations. To name a select few: Patrol Silver Shield Awards, Greene County Domestic Violence Consortium Law Enforcement Award, Casey Elliott Memorial “Cities Finest” Award, Children Services Law Enforcement Advocate of the Year, Meritorious Awards, Leadership Awards, Greene County Prosecutor’s Office Det. David Eckert Memorial Award including numerous accommodations for criminal cases and specific crisis situations.     

                



  6. Shaw, Steve  (5)

    Sgt. Shaw began his career with the Xenia Police Division in 1999 where he served as a patrol officer for 11 years. As a patrol officer, he served as a field training officer, evidence technician, bike patrol officer, defensive tactics instructor, and BAC operator.  Sgt. Shaw has been a member of the Crisis Negotiation Team since 2010.   Sgt. Shaw was assigned to the criminal investigation section in 2010 and was assigned to the Greene County ACE Task Force.  Sgt. Shaw was promoted to a Patrol Sergeant in 2016. He currently supervises one of the day shift platoons. He also oversees the division’s crash response team and is the division’s representative on the Xenia Traffic Commission.

    Sgt. Shaw is a lifelong resident of the Xenia and graduated from Carroll High School in 1989. Sgt. Shaw also graduated from Clark State College with an associate’s degree in criminal justice.
